At 5:22 as I was attempting to review the day and plan the next day during my evening walk; our farmer was returning to harvest soy, his evening milking over. Then standing at the kitchen window I could see the lights and the sounds of the combine rotating around the field. Lots of folks work long hours, work hard, have frustrations, and have successes. The farmer has their seasons. Each has its importance, its significance, its rewards; but the farmer has a partner that is very much unconventional for most jobs/careers. That is the weather. So when there is a week of “Indian Summer”, with the support of good equipment and lights; the harvest must be done; even after dark.
